Ballyhoura Mountain Biking Community Project

The Ballyhoura Mountain Bike Community Project is an initiative designed to encourage diverse community groups to engage with the sport of mountain biking.

This project aims to provide opportunities for individuals from various backgrounds to experience the joy of mountain biking. Through a series of engaging taster sessions and follow-on four-week courses, we invite everyone to discover the exhilarating world of mountain biking in a supportive and inclusive environment.

All sessions will be facilitated by professional and experienced instructors who are passionate about mountain biking and community engagement. Participants will learn essential mountain biking skills in a safe and supportive environment.

The taster sessions will give participants a glimpse of what mountain biking has to offer, while the follow-on courses will provide a deeper dive into the sport, helping you build confidence and skills.

Who is it for?

The program is open to all, with special sessions dedicated to encouraging participation from specific demographics, including:

  • Females: We aim to create a welcoming space for women to build confidence and skills in mountain biking.
  • Recent Arrivals: Newcomers to the area are invited to join us and connect with others while learning a new sport.
  • Disadvantaged Groups: We are committed to making mountain biking accessible to everyone, regardless of their background.

Join us on the trails!

Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to refine your skills, the Mountain Bike Community Project offers something for everyone.
