A Day of Storytelling, Creativity, and Inclusion at Mitchelstown Library On Wednesday, 16th July, Mitchelstown Library hosted a truly magical event as part of our Libraries for Literacy Project, aiming to promote literacy, creativity, and inclusion. In partnership with Smallest Tallest Theatre and the wonderful St. Joseph’s Foundation, we celebrated a day filled with storytelling, music, puppetry, and plenty of laughter! The library was transformed into a vibrant space where the imagination could run wild. From Ireland to India, the event whisked us away on a journey through the pages of magical books, exploring new worlds with the help of puppets, music, and rhythm. The most exciting part? Everyone had the chance to become a puppeteer and step into the spotlight, adding their own spark to the magic. This event was a part of our ongoing effort to ensure that everyone feels like they belong in the library, especially people with intellectual disabilities. By combining creativity and inclusion, we’ve created a space where everyone, regardless of ability, can come together and share in the joy of learning. A huge thank you to Smallest Tallest Theatre, St. Joseph’s Foundation, and everyone who joined us for such a special morning! Your presence and participation made it a day to remember. We look forward to more events that continue to bring people together, fostering creativity and literacy for all. Find Out More - Libraries for Literacy Manage Cookie Preferences
