MYCo Meet Your Colleague Kick-Off Meeting – Genoa, Italy MYCo Meet Your Colleague is an Erasmus+ funded collaboration project between six partners across five countries – Ireland, Germany, Italy, Poland and Portugal. 2024-1-IT02-KA220-ADU-000247623 This project has been funded by the European Union. On November 15th, 2024, the five partners of the MYCo (Meet Your Colleague) project gathered in Genoa, Italy, for the official kick-off meeting. This meeting provided an opportunity for the partners to connect, align on objectives, and lay the foundation for the work ahead. MYCo – Meet Your Colleague is a 24-month Erasmus+ funded project that will create training tools in the field of Diversity and Inclusion and aims to promote empathy and understanding across generations in the workplace. Overview of the Project Plan During the meeting, the project plan was presented and thoroughly discussed. Key aspects of the plan were approved, including the strategy for conducting research across the partner countries. The research will focus on generational differences in the workplace and aim to identify the training needs of employers in fostering a more inclusive environment for all generations. Key areas of focus: Understanding the generational divide in the workplace. Identifying the specific training needs of employers. Creating a framework for intergenerational inclusion in the workplace. Research Focus: Understanding Generational Differences A key component of the project is research into how different generations interact in the workplace and how those dynamics can be improved. Each partner will conduct desk research to examine generational differences. A questionnaire will be circulated to gather insights on the current state of intergenerational inclusion and training needs The kick-off meeting marked a significant step in the MYCo project, setting the tone for the collaborative work ahead.
