On May 27, 2025, a dynamic gathering of stakeholders took place at the Charleville Park Hotel, marking a significant milestone for the CITICESS project

The event brought together representatives from:

  • Tusla
  • Respond
  • An Garda Síochána
  • MABS
  • Sli Eile
  • Local politicians
  • Ballyhoura Rural Services
  • Department of Social Protection
  • Limerick & Clare Education and Training Board

Attendees had the opportunity to hear about the ongoing progress of CITICESS, including the transformative pilot action, The Breakthrough Method, originally developed and delivered by the lead partners in Heerlen, Netherlands. Plans are now in motion to bring an adapted version of this innovative approach to Charleville, Co. Cork - marking an exciting step forward for the project.

The meeting was highly engaging and productive, with stakeholders discussing the potential impact of the pilot action on the local community in Charleville, as well as opportunities for broader learning and development across the region. The spirit of collaboration and a shared commitment to driving meaningful change were evident throughout the event.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in making this stakeholder engagement a success. Together, we are shaping stronger, more connected communities.
