AquaCOM Success Stories: Aquathermal Energy Projects in Action Embarking on a new project is never easy - particularly when it involves a community breaking new ground in how energy is produced and shared. Across North-West Europe, energy communities are beginning to develop aquathermal energy projects, exploring this largely untapped renewable energy source to heat buildings using water. In this webinar, hosted by our partner Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg, two successful Early Adopter Energy Communities from the Interreg NWE AquaCOM project will share their experiences of developing aquathermal energy projects. They will highlight what made their projects possible, the challenges they faced, and how these challenges were overcome. Join us to hear inspiring case studies from Glenstal Abbey Sustainable Energy Community (Ireland) and Eigen Warmte Balk (The Netherlands). Date and time: 13 February, 10:00–11:00 CET(Ireland: 9:00–10:00) Register Here About the AquaCOM Aquathermal Energy Knowledge Community The AquaCOM Aquathermal Energy Knowledge Community is a pioneering platform that brings together industry professionals, researchers, policymakers, and businesses to explore the role of aquathermal energy in the energy transition. Through knowledge sharing and collaboration, the Community aims to accelerate the uptake of aquathermal energy solutions across Europe, supporting energy-efficient and climate-resilient development. Members of the Aquathermal Energy Knowledge Community gain access to a wide range of resources, including best practice insights from ongoing pilot projects, expert knowledge from aquathermal energy engineers, and a European network of partners with diverse experience.
