Limerick, this is a highly visible, place-based role. You will spend much of your time out in the community—meeting people, visiting places, working with groups, presenting to businesses and partners, and shaping ideas into reality. You will help unlock the creative potential that exists in every community, recognising the power of the arts to: Bring people together Challenge thinking and broaden perspectives Support wellbeing and expression Strengthen identity and sense of place You will work with a wide and diverse range of partners, so strong interpersonal skills are essential. This role requires someone who can work with respect, patience and empathy, and who understands that success depends on supporting both participants and artists to find shared ground. While you will lead the delivery of the project, you will be supported by the team at Ballyhoura Development. You will need strong experience in: Project and programme management Planning and delivery Communications and engagement Managing complexity and competing priorities You will act as the thread that connects everything and everyone, requiring strong organisational skills, resilience, and the ability to remain calm and focused under pressure. This role calls for someone who leads with confidence, humility, fairness and care for people’s wellbeing, and who is willing to mentor, support and collaborate openly. You should bring a strong understanding of Ireland’s arts sector, with the networks and insight to make things happen. Alongside creativity, you will also manage: Budgets Reporting and administration Funding applications Artist commissions Risk and governance requirements From the outset, you will play a key role in shaping the long-term vision and legacy of the programme—ensuring that the impact of Creative Places Kilfinane continues well beyond the funding period.
