On 25 June 2025, AquaCom partner Ecopower hosted a webinar exploring the development of aquathermal energy at the historic Rotselaar Mill site in Belgium.

The webinar, titled “Aquathermal Energy at the Rotselaar Mill Site – From Technology to Business Case”, presented key insights from this pioneering pilot project, demonstrating how aquathermal technology can be successfully integrated into a protected heritage setting while delivering sustainable heat solutions.

During the session, Colette Van Loy, Heat Networks Project Manager at Ecopower, outlined both the technical setup and the financial framework of the project, sharing practical lessons learned from the current phase of development.

The webinar offers valuable insights for energy communities, local authorities, and stakeholders interested in combining renewable energy innovation with heritage conservation.
