Trauma-Informed Practice Workshop Ballyhoura Development, through the CITICESS Project, is hosting a free Trauma-Informed Practice Introductory Workshop for stakeholders working across community, public and frontline services. This afternoon session is designed specifically for frontline and front-of-house staff who engage with individuals and families experiencing vulnerability, stress, or complex needs in their day-to-day work. Limerick, V35 NV32 Cost: Free About the Workshop This interactive session will introduce participants to the core principles of trauma-informed practice and how these can be applied in real-world community and service settings. The workshop will explore: How people respond to stress, pressure and trauma The impact of environment and interaction on behaviour Practical approaches to supporting individuals in a safe, respectful and effective way Simple strategies that can be used in everyday frontline roles Participants will also have the opportunity to reflect on their own work contexts and consider how trauma-informed approaches can strengthen both outcomes for service users and staff wellbeing. This session will be delivered by Quality Matters, a leading not-for-profit organisation specialising in trauma-informed practice across health, justice, housing and community settings. Through their Trauma-Informed Practice Ireland initiative, they have worked with over 12,000 professionals nationally, supporting organisations to build safer, more inclusive and responsive services. Their approach combines practical insight, real-world experience and interactive learning, making this a valuable opportunity for staff working in fast-paced, people-facing roles. Who Should Attend?
