Sewing Programme

This 5-week sewing programme is designed to introduce participants to essential sewing skills in a supportive and practical learning environment.

Suitable for beginners or those looking to refresh their skills, this hands-on course focuses on building confidence, creativity, and accuracy while working at your own pace.

What You’ll Learn

Throughout the programme, participants will develop skills in:

• Using a sewing machine safely and effectively
• Basic hand and machine stitching techniques
• Understanding fabrics and simple patterns
• Carrying out minor repairs and alterations
• Measuring, cutting, and assembling fabric

Each week builds on core skills, progressing from basic techniques to completing small projects such as cushion covers, tote bags, or simple garments.

What You’ll Achieve

By the end of the programme, participants will:

• Confidently use a sewing machine
• Complete basic sewing projects independently
• Follow simple patterns
• Carry out everyday repairs and alterations
• Apply sewing skills creatively in practical ways

• Time: 1:00pm – 3:00pm
