Are you part of a renewable energy community or a sustainable energy community? Have you considered aquathermal energy as a renewable energy source to support community heat generation in your local area?

Join us as an Early Adopter to find out more about this innovative technology and how energy communities can be supported to implement heat projects, driven by aquathermal energy technologies.

This initiative is being delivered by the AquaCOM project, a collaborative project between nine project partners in Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland and the Netherlands who are working together to develop a replicable model for energy communities to implement aquathermal energy projects in their local areas. The project is being supported through the EU Interreg North West Europe Programme.

The Role of Early Adopters

To achieve this, Ballyhoura Development would like to engage 3 Irish energy communities who would like to be involved in, and to participate in the project, as ‘Early Adopters’. These energy communities will have the opportunity to learn about aquathermal energy from the AquaCOM project consortium, industry experts and within the broader aquathermal energy network, and receive hands-on mentoring and technical support to develop a viable aquathermal energy implementation plan for their area.

Benefits of Participating

The programme includes visits to the project pilot sites (in Belgium, France and the Netherlands), masterclasses and training initiatives. Their direct hands-on experience and knowledge will also inform and provide valuable input in developing relevant learning materials and guidelines throughout the project.

How to Apply

Energy communities interested in becoming AquaCOM Early Adopters must apply by 24 May 2024 at 17:00h CEST.
