Whether you are a full-time farmer, part-time, or contemplating collaboration with family members or fellow farmers, this talk will assist you in understanding your options and planning for the future. This Informative Talks morning will provide information on: Collaborative farming models – including partnerships, share farming, and more Practical tax planning for farmers – for now and into the future Guest speakers We are excited to welcome our guest speakers, Joseph Collins - Agricultural Advisor and Tim Ryan, IFAC Partner & Tax Specialist, who will share their expertise and offer valuable insights. Joseph Collins Joseph Collins is an Agricultural Consultant with FDC, with over 18 years’ experience, based in Kanturk. He works with farmers to ensure compliance with EU and Department of Agriculture regulations and supports applications across a wide range of schemes, including Basic Payment, nitrates and derogation plans, registered farm partnerships, TAMS grants, ACRES, and compliance reporting, liaising with key bodies such as the Department of Agriculture, local authorities, NPWS, and financial institutions. Tim Ryan Tim Ryan joined IFAC in 2011 and became a Partner in 2022. Based in Nenagh, Co. Tipperary, he previously worked with Ernst & Young as an Audit Supervisor and as Financial Controller with Midwest Transport. Coming from a farming background, he understands the needs of farming clients, manages a team of four, and is actively involved in his local community and GAA club, Upperchurch-Drombane.
